Restylane injections are used to smooth the appearance of wrinkles 

Restylane injections are used to replace the hyaluronic acid that’s naturally found in the skin. Aging causes this acid to deplete and when this happens, wrinkles are formed.



Using a very thin needle, the restylane solution is injected into the skin. This solution can come in different consistencies to match best the area of skin that it’s injected into. The restylane solution rests in the volume where the hyaluronic acid is supposed to be, and thus restores the skin into its natural position.

Very rarely, patients get pimple-like sores that are a reaction to the injection. Most reactions occur within a few weeks of the injection.
