Complications are infrequent with this surgery. However, infections, nosebleeds and reactions to anesthesia can occur. Patients may decrease the risk of these by following the surgeon's instructions closely. Sometimes, a patient will require a second procedure in order to current minor defects.

The average cost is $5500, where $4000 is paid to the rhinoplasty surgeon, $700 is paid to the anesthesiologist, and the remaining $800 accounts for the facility fee. If the procedure is performed due to a health condition, the patient may be able to get insurance coverage.
